Do You Have Questions About Tarot?

actpot.substack.com

We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams.
World-losers and world-forsakers,
Upon whom the pale moon gleams;
Yet we are the movers and shakers,
Of the world forever, it seems.

Happy Friday the 13th, Friends!

I hope you’re staying safe, warm, and dry this January! This will actually be quick because the wind is howling outside my window, and I want to get this out before we lose power šŸ™‚

This week, I had an idea to try something new…

Ask Me Anything About TarotĀ

I get a lot of questions from friends and clients wanting to learn about tarot. I’m thinking of recording a Q&A video/audio that answers them. Would you like that?

A lot of questions are similar:Ā

  • How did you get started?

  • Any advice on choosing my first deck?

  • What makes a good tarot question?

  • Where can I learn more about card meanings?

And other questions are specific to the individual, like, ā€œMy first experience with a tarot reader was traumatic and now I’m nervous about getting another reading. Any advice?ā€

I’m happy to answer all of these and more! What I won’t touch on is how to read tarot and interpret the cards. That’s a multi-day course, and I’m tryna keep this little Q&A to 30ish minutes.

If you’re interested, reply to this email to let me know! And please mention any questions you have. If you’re curious about something tarot-related, chances are someone else is wondering the same thing.

I’ll collect questions until Friday, February 3, and record the answers after that. So, if you know someone who might be interested, please share this post!

Thank you for reading action potential. This post is public so feel free to share it.

And here’s a carousel of this week’s favorite things from around the Internet and beyond!

Things I Love This Week

  • Did you know January 23 is Integrative Health Day!? The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine is offering three free virtual sessions throughout the day. Click the link to learn more.

  • Are you participating in Dry January? I wrote this post about the best booze-free bevvies for Sober October, but it applies to any month you feel like skipping (or reducing) alcohol šŸ™‚

  • If tea is your drink of choice, I can’t say enough good things about Magic Hour teas. My aunt gifted me a box for Christmas, and I’m obsessed! My favorites are Bohemian Breakfast and Goddess Green.

  • For the runners out there, this ā€œWhat Went Wrong on My Run Today?ā€ questionnaire by Brendan Leonard had me rolling on the floor (and not on a foam cylinder!)

  • This Planner for A Magical 2023 is full of gorgeous art and will serve as the perfect place to record daily tarot pulls and moon rituals.*

  • And, finally, Wednesday on Netflix. If you know me, you’ve already heard me talk about how great this show is. Probably more than once. Fans of the Addams Family, goth aesthetic, or just plain good TV will love it! Wednesday was born on Friday the 13, so now’s the perfect time to watch.

That’s all for now! I need to go try to get Bruce to go outside (he hates the rain). Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!
